One of the things I love seeing in our client companies is the expanded communication and sharing the comes from understanding each other better. When you realize why people do what they do, it makes it easier to open up to them. For instance, that “stick-in-the-mud” comptroller who hates every new idea might just be trying to protect the company from ruin. At that same time, that manager who never seems to grab new ideas and run with them might just lack the natural confidence to do it. Once you understand them, you can more easily communicate with them in a way that helps them buy in to your ideas. You might even discover that they were right a few times. Behavioral assessments can give you this insight.
